*Melbourne, Australien, 24. Oktober 1856, +St. Petersburg, Florida, 4. Oktober 1931. Er zählte zu den Pionieren der Blasmusik in Australien und leitete Blaskapellen in Melbourne, New South Wales. Im Jahr 1878 kam er als Kornett-Solist nach den USA. Er hinterließ zahlreiche Marsch- und Unterhaltungskompositionen für Blasmusik.
