Baton Music - Finest transcriptions for Symphonic Band
Baton Music was founded in 1996 by Jos van de Braak and Paul Gofers and has since then developed into a publisher specializing in classical music arrangements for wind orchestra.
Meanwhile, the Baton Music catalog contains almost 1000 titles. All these arrangements are made by a team of international arrangers who often also work as a conductor.
The arrangements of Baton Music are nowadays played all over the world and we can proudly say that we have acquired a unique position.
Baton Music is specialized in arrangements of arias, duets and choirs from operas, operettas and zarzuela's.
The light classical repertoire, such as overtures by Rossini and Suppé and works by Khachaturian and Gershwin, is also generously represented. Including the almost 100 arrangements of the Strauss family.
With works by, among others, Ginestera, Revueltas and Márquez, the Latin American genre is also well represented.
The concert band is certainly also suitable for accompaniment of instrumental soloists. Soloists on e.g. clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, piano, flute, violin and cello have a wide choice at Baton Music.
The Queen Symphony and The Genesis Suite by the English composer Tolga Kashif are exemplary examples from the cross-over repertoire.
And for orchestras looking for a real challenge, there is ample supply of transcriptions from the great symphonic repertoire such as the 9th Symphony by Dvorak, Symfonie Fantastique by Berlioz, La Valse by Ravel or Concert for Orchestra by Bartok.

In the future we want to continue to develop as the preferred partner for the better arrangements for wind orchestra (with or without a vocal or instrumental soloist).
Since our start in 1996, Hebu has been one of our appreciated partners. Thanks very much to them for giving us the opportunity to present Baton Music in this way and show you a small selection from our catalogue.
