Gary Gackstatter
C. Alan Publication publisher
C. Alan Publications was founded in 1989 by pedagogue and recovering percussionist/band director Cort McClaren. With humble beginnings as a publisher of high-level percussion literature, C. Alan quickly expanded into the worlds of band literature, chamber music, and orchestral music. Regardless of the genre, C. Alan Publications has always maintained the highest standards of musical integrity, making it the go-to source for performers and directors alike.
With a growing reputation as a publisher with world-wide reach, C. Alan became the North American distrobutor of the band & orchestra catalogs for several prestigious international publishers, including G & M Brand Publications from Great Britain, Brolga Music from Australia, and TradeWinds from Great Britain. The percussion catalog was further enhanced through the acquisition of Whole>Sum Productions and Steinhardt Publishing, as well as a distribution deal with the prestigious OU Percussion Press (out of the University of Oklahoma).
Beginning with a handful of outstanding composers, C. Alan Publications set out to attract even more world-class artists in each area it represents. Today, the finest composers publish with C. Alan and enjoy worldwide distribution of their music and unparallelled encouragement.
Finally, C. Alan Publications boasts a first-class team of professionals that strives to provide supreme service to our composers and to our customers.
