Some of the most important composers working and creating in Israel since 1920 such as Josef Tal, Oedoen Partos, Mordecai Seter are among those represented by the IMI. The IMI catalogue presents a great variety of music: orchestral, choral, chamber and educational as well as listing a number of musicological editions. Also, in cooperation with several other public musical institutions in Israel, IMI works in collaboration with the Music in Israel (MII) label in producting CDs of Israeli art music, which are the best promotional tool for the music. To further promote Israeli music, the IMI publishes a comprehensive bulletin which encompass the entire music scene in Israel.
